Last Sunday, we ran our marathon -- 26.2 miles around the city of Austin. Truly, it was an incredible experience with a whole wide range of emotions. There were moments of joy and bliss, pain and doubt, and everything in between. We'll post some pictures soon, but Vanessa had the cute idea of making matching t-shirts. Yes, we're that couple. I'll save the details for the pictures, but they're on their way.
Now our "next marathon"-- wedding plans. We have a church, a reception venue and our colors. We'll keep you all in the loop.

We ran 18 miles today. It's official. We're crazy.
Every Saturday morning, we join a large group of people who belong to Austin Fit and run a variable distance in preparation for the 2008 AT&T Austin Marathon. In the first weeks of the program, we ran a short 2 miles with the distance increasing over the months since August. This morning, I ran 7 miles and Vanessa, making up for missing last week's 13.4-mile run, ran a few extra miles. In another step, we registered officially for the marathon!
On February 17, 2008, cheer us on as we run from the Ann Richards South Congress Bridge all around Austin and, after 26.2 miles, cross the finish line near 4th and Congress. Maybe we'll even wear a tux and veil? You'll have to come out to find out.
